Getting Started with Up4it

Welcome to Up4it — the platform that helps you connect with people around you and experience life offline. This guide walks you through everything you need to get started.

To use Up4it, you first need to create a free account.

  1. Download the Up4it app or visit up4it.io.
  2. Tap Sign Up and enter your email address and a secure password.
  3. Verify your email address by clicking the confirmation link sent to your inbox.
  4. Accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy to complete registration.

Once your account is created, you can immediately start browsing Moments and Moods near you.

A complete profile helps other members trust you and makes it easier to join Moments.

  1. Go to your Profile tab.
  2. Add a profile photo and a short bio.
  3. Review your Privacy & sharing settings (see Account Settings for more details).

3. Understanding Moments, Moods, and Upcomings

Up4it revolves around three core concepts:

  • Moments — Organised activities with a fixed time, location, and number of participants. Examples include a hiking trip, a board game night, or a workshop.
  • Moods — Spontaneous, lightweight expressions of what you feel like doing right now. A Mood lets nearby connections know you are open to company, without the structure of a full Moment.
  • Upcomings — Enterprise-planned Moments that appear in your feed when you are nearby. You can turn an Upcoming into your own Moment by inviting your friends.

All Moments and Moods are temporary: once they have passed, Up4it deletes all related data in line with our Privacy Policy.

  1. From the Home screen, browse or search for Moments and Moods near you.
  2. Use filters (type, date, location, number of participants) to narrow your results.
  3. Tap on a listing to view its full details, including requirements set by the Organizer (e.g. minimum age).
  4. Tap Join to send a participation request. For paid Moments, you will be shown the total price before confirming.

Once your request is accepted, you will receive a confirmation and the Moment will appear in your My Moments tab.

If you need to cancel your participation, visit the Moment page and select the cancellation option. Please review the Moment Cancellation Policy for details.

Anyone on Up4it can become an Organizer.

  1. From the Home screen, tap your Profile to start creating a listing.
  2. Choose whether you want to create a Moment (scheduled activity) or a Mood (spontaneous activity).
  3. For a Moment, you can also go to the Moment page and tap the + button.
  4. Fill in the details: title, description, location, date and time, maximum number of participants, and any requirements.
  5. Review and publish your listing.

As an Organizer, you are responsible for delivering the Moment as described. Please read the Terms of Service Organizer section for your full obligations.

Up4it is built with your safety in mind. We recommend:

  • Reading our Safety Guidelines before attending or organising your first Moment.
  • Only joining Moments or Moods whose details you feel comfortable with.
  • Reporting any content that violates our Content Policy directly from the listing.
