Moment Cancellation Policy

Plans change. This Policy sets shared expectations for cancellations; it does not make Up4it a party to a Moment or create an Up4it payment or refund obligation.

If you can no longer attend, cancel through the available Moment control or tell the Organizer as early as reasonably possible. Do not mark yourself as attending when you do not intend to attend.

There is no universal 24-hour deadline or automatic Up4it cancellation charge. An Organizer may state reasonable cancellation conditions before a Participant commits, but mandatory law and this Policy prevail.

An Organizer should cancel or update a Moment promptly when it cannot be delivered safely or substantially as described. The Organizer should notify confirmed Participants, explain material changes, and avoid creating foreseeable external costs after cancellation is known.

An Organizer must not cancel or reject participation for an unlawfully discriminatory or retaliatory reason.

Safety comes first. A Member should not attend or continue an activity merely to avoid a cancellation. Severe weather, illness, transport disruption, government restrictions, emergencies, or another serious event may justify a late cancellation. See the Extenuating Circumstances Policy.

Do not send detailed medical records unless they are specifically and lawfully required. Usually, a concise explanation is enough for Up4it policy review.

Up4it does not currently process payments or issue refunds. Any external payment, ticket, transport, accommodation, or other cost is governed by the agreement with the person or provider that accepted the payment and by mandatory law. See Participant Refund Information.

Up4it does not penalize an isolated good-faith cancellation merely because plans changed. We may act on repeated deceptive listings, deliberate no-shows used to disrupt others, discriminatory cancellations, fraud, or other policy violations. Affected Members may report or appeal under the Reporting and Appeals Policy.
