Account Settings

This page explains how to update your profile information, adjust your privacy preferences, and manage notifications within the Up4it app.

1. Updating Your Profile

Your profile is visible to other members when you join or organise a Moment or Mood.

1. Open the app and go to Profile.
2. Tap Edit Profile to update:
   • Profile photo
   • Display name
   • Bio / short description
3. Save your changes.

2. Privacy Settings

Up4it defaults to the most privacy-friendly settings, as described in The Patterns We Use.

To review or change your privacy preferences:

1. Go to Profile → Privacy & sharing.
2. From here you can:
   • Download a copy of your data
   • Request account deletion
   • Manage data portability settings

3. Notification Settings

Up4it uses notifications to remind you of upcoming Moments and Moods your friends are joining. We keep these to a minimum, as explained in The Patterns We Use.

To manage your notifications:

1. Go to Profile → Notifications.
2. Toggle individual notification types on or off:
   • Moment reminders
   • Mood reminders
   • Friend activity
   • Platform announcements

To opt out of marketing communications entirely, follow the steps in How to Exercise Your Data Subject Rights.

4. Security

To keep your account secure:

• Use a strong, unique password.
• Never share your login credentials with anyone.
• Log out of devices you no longer use.

5. Deleting Your Account

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed. Once processed, all your personal information will be permanently deleted (subject to certain exceptions described in our Privacy Policy).

To delete your account:

1. Go to Profile → Privacy → Account.
2. Select Delete your account and follow the confirmation steps.
