Account Settings
Available controls may differ by app version. Use the settings shown in your current version or contact support where a control is not yet available.
1. Profile
Section titled “1. Profile”Where profile editing is available, review your display name, photo, biography, and other optional fields. Use only information that is appropriate for the Members who may see it. Do not use a profile to impersonate another person or misrepresent qualifications.
To request correction of personal data that is not editable, follow How to Exercise Your Data Subject Rights.
2. Privacy and Audience
Section titled “2. Privacy and Audience”Before publishing a Mood or Moment:
- confirm the selected Friends or Circles;
- avoid sharing a precise private location more broadly than necessary;
- check whether Participants can see each other; and
- remember that another Member could copy information they receive.
Our Design Patterns and Safeguards describe the privacy-protective defaults we aim to apply. The Privacy Policy explains how Up4it processes personal data.
Members aged 13 to 17 receive additional privacy and safety protections described in the Young Members Policy.
3. Friends, Circles, and Blocks
Section titled “3. Friends, Circles, and Blocks”Where available, use Circles to organize Friends for sharing and invitations. Review membership when relationships or context change. Blocking or removing a connection may limit future contact but may not erase Content already lawfully received by another person.
4. Notifications and Marketing
Section titled “4. Notifications and Marketing”Use available notification controls or device settings to manage optional reminders. Essential account, security, legal, and service notices may continue while the account is active.
You may opt out of direct marketing at any time by using the unsubscribe control or contacting us. See Data Subject Rights.
5. Location and Device Permissions
Section titled “5. Location and Device Permissions”Use operating-system settings to review location, camera, photo, notification, and other permissions. Grant only permissions needed for a feature you want to use. Turning off a permission may disable that feature but should not disable an unrelated core function.
6. Account Security
Section titled “6. Account Security”- Use a strong, unique password where password login is available.
- Protect sign-in links, passkeys, and verification codes.
- Keep your device and app updated.
- Sign out of devices you no longer control, where that option is available.

7. Account Deletion
Section titled “7. Account Deletion”Use the account-deletion control where available or email support@the-corner.io with the subject Privacy request. Account closure is intended to be permanent, but limited data may be retained for lawful reasons. See Data Subject Rights.
